He participated in the [Sivas Congress](/en/detay/sivas-ad2d0/llms.txt) as a delegate from Bursa and served as a member of parliament for Batum during the First Term of the [Grand National Assembly of Türkiye](/en/detay/turkiye-buyuk-millet-meclisi-2/llms.txt) in 1920.
