#### **Early Life and Youth Career (1968–1987)**

Bülent Korkmaz was born on 24 [November](/en/detay/kasim-748438/llms.txt) 1968 in [Ankara](/en/detay/ankara-2/llms.txt). He showed an early interest in football and began his career in the youth academy of Galatasaray [Sports](/en/detay/spor/llms.txt) Club. Korkmaz, who progressed from the youth system to the senior team, attracted attention with his performances as a defender at a young age.

#### **Galatasaray Career (1987–2005)**

Bülent Korkmaz began his professional football career in 1987 with the Galatasaray senior team. He wore the Galatasaray jersey for 18 seasons. From the 1990s onward, he assumed the role of team captain. He was part of the squad that won the UEFA Cup in the 1999–2000 season and played in the final against Arsenal.
