Davinson Sanchez Mina, born on 12 June 1996 in Caloto, Colombia. His infrastructure career began at CD America and continued with the clubs Atletico Nacional, Ajax, and Tottenham Hotspur. In the summer of 2018, he made history by breaking Tottenham’s club record with a transfer fee of £42 million. Since 4 September 2023, he has continued his career at Galatasaray wearing the number 6 jersey.
On 1 July 2013, while wearing the Nacional U20 jersey, he signed his first professional contract with Atletico Nacional one year later. On 28 October 2013, in the Liga Postobon II competition, he played the full 90 minute minutes in Atletico Nacional’s match against Boyaca Chico FC. In the Liga Dimayor I competition, he made his first official appearance on 1 February 2016, playing the entire match for Atletico Nacional against Alianza FC. On 2 March 2016, in the match against Club Sporting Cristal, he scored his first goal with a header in the 12th minute. During his time with Atletico Nacional, he played 44 matches, scoring 1 goal and accumulating 3,403 duration minutes.

In the 8th week of the Süper Lig season, during the match Antalyaspor versus Galatasaray, he scored his first goal for Galatasaray with a left-footed shot on a header from Mauro Icardi. He scored his first goal in the Türkiye Kupası on 6 February 2024, in the match Galatasaray versus Bandırmaspor, with a header in the 26th minute. In the UEFA Europa League, he scored his first goal in the 6th minute against Dinamo, heading in a corner from Dries Mertens. He made his debut for the Colombian youth national team at the 2015 U-20 South American Championship and the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. In the Friendship tournament, he scored his first goal in the 14th minute against Paraguay, which was also his first official goal for the national team. At the Copa America 2024, on 29 June 2024, he scored his first goal for the national team in the 59th minute against Costa Rica. Sanchez made his first appearances for the national team in Friendly Matches, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Copa America, Copa America 2012, and Copa America 2024. He continues his national team career wearing the number 23 jersey.
