Childhood and Family

Messi grew up in a middle class family. His father, Jorge Messi, was a factory worker, and his mother, Celia, was a cleaner. In 2021, due to Barcelona’s financial crisis, the club was unable to renew Messi’s contract, prompting the Argentine star to sign with French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). During his two seasons at PSG, Messi won Ligue 1, but his integration with the team and relationship with fans fell short of expectations.

Inter Miami Career (2023–)

In 2023, after leaving Europe, Messi transferred to Inter Miami of the United States. This transfer is considered one of the biggest in Major League Soccer history. Messi also helped his new club win the Leagues Cup. He is currently continuing his football career with Inter Miami.

National Team Career

Messi spent long years trying to win major tournaments with the Argentina national team but failed to secure a significant international title until the 2021 Copa América.
