He began his education in Istanbul and later turned to acting, appearing in various television series and films. Throughout his career, he has reached wide audiences particularly through youth and drama productions.

Mert Yazıcıoğlu was born on 10 May 1993 in Istanbul. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul, where he studied in a science-focused program during high school. It is noted that during his high school years, he showed a strong interest in engineering and excelled in physics and mathematics. He began his university education in the Business Administration Department at Aydın University. While continuing his studies, he entered the world of acting through his social circle. In 2011, he began his acting career with the film *Dedemin İnsanları*. In 2012, he gained television experience as a guest actor in the series *Kayıp Şehir*. Subsequently, he appeared in youth and drama projects such as *Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz* (2016–2017), *Mehmed: Bir Cihan Fatihi* (2018), *Bir Litre Gözyaşı* (2018–2019), *Bir Annenin Günahı* (2020), and *Ölüm Zamanı* (2020).

In 2020–2021, he portrayed the character Sinan as one of the lead actors in the digital platform series *Aşk 101*. In 2022, he appeared on screen as Kerem in the series *Darmaduman*. In 2023, he won the “Best Male Actor” award at the 50th Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards for his role as Cüneyd Efendi in the series *Kızıl Goncalar*.
