Prof. Dr. [Muzaffer Şeker](/en/detay/muzaffer-seker-d6754/llms.txt) is a Turkish scientist, medical doctor (specialist in anatomy), and President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences ([TÜBA](/en/detay/tuba-turkiye-bilimler-akademisi/llms.txt)). In addition to his academic career, Prof. Şeker is recognized for his work in higher education administration, science policy, and science diplomacy. ### Education and Academic Development

Born in İzmir in 1961, Prof. Şeker completed his higher education at the Faculty of Medicine of [Uludağ University](/en/detay/bursa-uludag-universitesi-buu-3a26d/llms.txt), earning his medical degree. He obtained his PhD in anatomy at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom (1995). Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker has played key roles in shaping Türkiye’s higher education system.
