### **Artistic Production and Techniques**

In the early stages of his career, Akoral worked with original printmaking techniques such as linoleum and woodcut. From the 1970s onward, he turned to oil painting. His subjects typically revolve around rural life, nature, and animals of Anatolia. Village life, vegetation, birds, goats, and cattle are recurring themes in his work. In the 1970s, Ankara’s informal settlements also became subjects of his artworks. Scenes from daily life, individuals playing chess, or people waiting in hospital corridors are among other themes he explored. Akoral adopted a methodical approach that regularly employed plastic elements such as line, stain, color, and pattern.
