[Ruhi of Baghdad](/en/detay/bagdatli-ruhi-4/llms.txt) was an Ottoman poet who lived in earlier times. He wrote poetry about people’s virtues, vices, and the hardships of life. His poems carry both a critical and lesson informative quality.

The real name of Bağdatlı Ruhi was [Osman](/en/detay/osman-2/llms.txt). He was born in [Baghdad](/en/detay/bagdat-2/llms.txt). His exact date of birth is unknown. His father was an Ottoman soldier, and Ruhi also followed his father’s profession and served in the military. But his true passion was writing poetry, so he devoted his life to it.
