Initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye’s General Directorate of Youth Services, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (GSB) Youth Camps are camps that aim to bring together young people from different regions of Türkiye to support their personal, social, and cultural development. In this context, the Istanbul Marmaracık Youth Camp is more than just a holiday destination; it is a comprehensive education and socialization center equipped with experiences that will help shape young individuals’ lives.
Location and Natural Setting
Located in the Rumelifeneri neighborhood of the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, the Marmaracık Youth Camp offers young people an environment away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, with its lush nature and tranquil atmosphere. Situated in an area where the sea and forest landscapes intertwine, the camp features walking trails for nature hikes, open-air sports fields, and various activity areas. These natural riches are designed to enable young people to rest and rejuvenate both physically and mentally.

Education and Activity Program
The activities offered at Marmaracık Youth Camp adopt an approach that aims to combine individual development with team spirit. In addition to classic team sports such as football, volleyball, and basketball, the program includes modern activities that promote physical activity such as cycling, paintball, table tennis, archery, and a survivor course. Traditional and artistic activities such as folk dances, music, theater, handicrafts, and matrak are also offered to ensure that young people remain culturally active.
In addition, personal development seminars and thematic workshops held throughout the camp contribute to enhancing participants’ cognitive awareness. These activities support the development of leadership skills, helping young people discover their own potential.

Social Interaction and Cultural Exchange
The Istanbul Marmaracık Youth Camp creates a multicultural social interaction environment by bringing together young people from all over Türkiye. Friendships formed in this environment often extend beyond the camp period, forming the foundation of lifelong bonds. In this camp, young people learn to cooperate towards common goals while also developing their empathy and respect for different perspectives.
The social and cultural richness offered by the camp supports young people in becoming more conscious, responsible, and active members of society.
Accommodation and Logistical Support
Accommodation services, designed with participants’ comfort and safety in mind, are provided in rooms for 3–4 people within the camp area. In these facilities, where basic needs are fully met, young people stay in a comfortable environment. Nutritional needs are covered by the GSB, with daily meal plans supported by balanced and healthy menus.
During the camp, healthcare services are also available for emergencies. Health personnel stationed at the camp can intervene immediately when needed. Transportation is organized with bus services from gathering points designated in the provinces where applications are made, ensuring participants’ safety. During the journey, camp supervisors guide the young participants, and meal and rest breaks are arranged at regular intervals.
The Istanbul Marmaracık Youth Camp is designed to help young people acquire social, cultural, and cognitive skills they can use throughout their lives. This camp is a value-driven and innovative youth project that paves the way for the development of future leaders. In addition to creating unforgettable memories for participants, it offers a qualified experience that will enhance their self-awareness and prepare them for life with greater competence.
