[Selçuk Aydemir](/en/detay/selcuk-aydemir-95733/llms.txt) was born on 6 June 1982 in Istanbul. He completed his higher education in the Aeronautical Engineering department at Istanbul Technical University. However, instead of pursuing a career in engineering, he turned toward cinema and writing. Aydemir began his career with short films and gradually became known for his television series, feature films, and books.

### **Directing Career**

Selçuk Aydemir’s earliest directed short films include *Profesyonel* (2005), *Ayrılık* (2006), *Yüzük* (2007), and *Gövde Gösterisi* (2008). His first television projects were the 2009 series *Ramazan Güzeldir* and the three-episode mini-series *Kurban*.

In the 2010s, Aydemir signed on to projects that reached broader audiences in cinema and television. Among his notable directing works are:
