## Article Content

Yahya Bostan (born 1981, Istanbul) is a Turkish journalist and author who serves as Academic and Publications Coordinator at [Anadolu Agency](/en/detay/anadolu-agency-c0ad9/llms.txt) and has written on foreign policy for Yeni Şafak. After graduating from Beylerbeyi High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Istanbul Bilgi University and completed his master’s degree at Boğaziçi University’s Atatürk Institute with a thesis on the history of diplomacy.

### Career

Throughout his professional career, Bostan has worked in Istanbul, Washington and Ankara. He served as an editor in the foreign news departments of the Star and Sabah newspapers. Following his tenure as a correspondent and head of news at Sabah’s Ankara bureau, he took on the role of head of editorial affairs at the same newspaper. He then worked for four years at TRT News as a Channel Coordinator. Since 2021, he has been serving as Academic and Publications Coordinator at Anadolu Agency.

Throughout his career, Bostan has authored numerous articles across various fields. His foreign policy analyses have been published in the journals Kriter and Anlayış. He was a columnist for Star between 2017 and 2020 and for the English-language Daily Sabah between 2014 and 2021. Since 2022, he has continued his professional journey as a foreign policy writer for Yeni Şafak, contributing two articles per week. He publishes analyses on Turkish foreign policy, Middle Eastern geopolitics, terrorism and counterterrorism, and security and intelligence. Bostan shares his commentary and analyses on television news channels and digital platforms, and also serves as publishing director for AA Brifing, a monthly magazine set to launch its first issue in July 2026.

### Publications

In 2017, Bostan published the book Code Name Bay Bay, which shed light on the MIT’s Bylock operation. He also edited the book Bezzaz: Yaşar Bostan Book, written in memory of his late father. In 2002, he contributed to the publication of Fatma Aliye and Ahmet Mithat’s timeless work Hayal ve Hakikat by translating it into Latin script.
