Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Volume 1 follows the violent journey of a former assassin seeking revenge against her former teammates who betrayed her.


The Bride is attacked on her wedding day by her former assassination team, loses her unborn child, and falls into a coma. After four years in coma, she awakens and sets out to exact revenge on Bill, her former boss, and her former teammates. During this journey, she confronts memories of her past and engages in deadly battles with enemies, each from a different region and possessing unique skills.

Production

Quentin Tarantino directed the film, with Lawrence Bender producing and Tarantino writing the screenplay. Distributed by Miramax Films, portions of the movie were shot in China, Japan, and the United States. The fight choreography was designed by Yuen Woo-ping, and the soundtrack features works by Ennio Morricone and RZA. Robert Richardson served as cinematographer, and Sally Menke handled the editing.
