Yusuf Dikeç was born on 1 January 1973 in Kahramanmaraş Göksun. After completing his primary, middle and high school education in Kahramanmaraş, he attended the Military Academy and began his military career under the General Command of the Gendarmerie.
Yusuf Dikeç's shooting career is marked by numerous national and international successes. He competed in the 10 metre air pistol and 50 metre pistol events at the 2012 London Olympics. At the 2013 Mediterranean Games, he won one gold and one silver medal. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, he finished 22nd in the 50 metre pistol event with a score of 550 points, failing to advance beyond the qualification round.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, alongside Şevval İlayda Tarhan, he won a silver medal in the 10 metre air pistol mixed team event, securing Türkiye's first-ever Olympic medal in this discipline. He has also won two world and five Europe championship medals during his career.
Yusuf Dikeç currently serves as a Senior Master Sergeant in the Gendarmerie General Command. He continues his sporting career within the Gendarmerie Sports Club.
