What Is the Purpose of the Ski Center?
This center was established to accommodate those who wish to practice skiing during the winter months when snowfall occurs. The facility includes a chairlift (a seated cable system that transports people uphill) and a T-bar (a ground-level cable pull system). These systems allow easy access to the tops of the ski slopes.
The ski runs vary in difficulty levels, providing suitable terrain for both beginners and experienced skiers. It is known for its high-quality snow that remains on the ground for extended periods.

What Is Mersivan Yaylası?
The area where the ski center is located is also known as Mersivan Yaylası. Yaylas are expansive grassland areas situated at high elevations in the mountains, traditionally used by people during the summer months due to their cooler temperatures.
Mersivan Yaylası is surrounded by trees such as fir, beech, and pine. During the summer months, it becomes a beautiful destination for hiking and picnicking, thanks to its lush green landscape. In these highland areas of Artvin, nature-based activities such as rock climbing are also sometimes practiced.
