Iran Halts All Maritime Traffic in the Strait of Hormuz

Iranian media reported explosions in the cities of Sirik and Minab in Hormozgan Province, near the Strait of Hormuz. Following the incidents, the Iranian Armed Forces announced the closure of the strait to all maritime traffic, including oil tankers and commercial vessels. In a subsequent statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned ships in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman not to leave their anchorage areas, adding that any attempt to approach the Strait of Hormuz would be considered "cooperation with the enemy."
