US Strike Hits Wedding Ceremony in Iran’s Sirik District: 4 Killed, 67 Injured

A residence hosting a wedding ceremony in the Kuheştek area of Sirik County, in Iran’s Hormozgan Province, was hit in a US strike on the night of September 1. The Iranian Red Crescent said the attack killed four people, including two women and two children, and injured 67 others. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) denied allegations that civilians were deliberately targeted. The Iranian Red Crescent appealed to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the attack, while the United Nations said it was deeply concerned about the civilian casualties.
