What is a Terrarium?
A Terrarium is Like a Tiny World!
A terrarium is a mini garden inside a glass jar, a glass bowl, or a special container.
You can add rocks, moss, flowers, and even little decorations to create a tiny forest or desert!
Why Do We Make Terrariums? 🌿
- To learn how to grow plants.
- To bring nature into our home.
- To use as a beautiful decoration.

How Does a Terrarium Work? 🫧
In closed terrariums, water evaporates, then turns into tiny water drops and goes back into the soil. This way, the plants have their own water cycle inside their tiny world!
In open terrariums, plants take water from the air, but you need to water them sometimes.

Making a Terrarium is Fun! 🌱
You can create your own little garden by adding soil, rocks, and plants into a glass jar!
Choosing a Glass Container 🫙
- Pick a glass jar or bowl.
- It should be clear, so the plants can get light.

Soil and Plants 🌱
1. Add some small stones first (for water drainage).
2. Put soil on top.
3. Plant small plants or moss.
4. Add tiny rocks or decorations to make it pretty.

Taking Care of Your Terrarium 🌿🪴
- Water your plants when needed.
- Place your terrarium near a window, so it gets enough light.
