Vaşak
Vashaks are medium-sized wild cats belonging to the Felidae family. There are four species: the Eurasian lynx, the Canadian lynx, the Iberian lynx, and the bobcat. The species living in Türkiye is the Eurasian lynx, also known as the Anatolian lynx.
Get to Know It!
Its coat is light brown with black spots. The tips of its pointed ears have black tufts. Its tail is short and black-tipped. Its fur is thick. Thanks to its powerful legs, it climbs trees, leaps across rocky terrain, and walks easily through snow. Its eyes are extremely sharp—it can spot a mouse from 75 metres away.
