To live

I am saying life, I am saying life

Not behind a curtain

Not behind masks whose names I do not even know

I am saying life

Bravely and truly…

Alongside butterflies fluttering in the belly

Sometimes just feeling

I am saying life

Simply, without knowing anything about everything

Like a galloping herd crossing the steppe

I am saying life

Undoubtedly, unburdened and wholesome

In the light of gratitude repeated again and again each morning

Like a raindrop falling on glass

So sorrowful, so wildly alive

Like a bee leaving its hive each day to visit a thousand flowers

Like a squirrel sniffing the blossoms of spring

To live so sincerely, so truly

To run and roll over the fields, drenched in dew

Then to hear a few birds chirping

Could all this be life?

To listen, to the whole of nature, the birds, the roaring flow of the river

And to be startled suddenly by an unfamiliar voice

A clock ringing in the ears

Then to awaken

I am saying life, perhaps it is just like this…
