After completing his education, he worked as a teacher for a period. He later pursued careers in journalism, publishing, and media. One of his longest-standing roles was as the editorial director of Dergâh Dergisi. He also served as a cultural programs consultant at the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT).
