Among those that reached the final without winning are RAMS Başakşehir (formerly İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor, three times), Antalyaspor (twice), Alanyaspor (once), Boluspor (once), Mersin İdmanyurdu (once), Samsunspor (once), Adana Demirspor (once), and Kayseri Erciyesspor (once). Sakaryaspor, Konyaspor, and Sivasspor have won their only final appearance, achieving a 100 percent success rate. Kocaelispor has won both finals they have contested. The final is scheduled to take place on Friday, 22 May, at the Corendon Airlines Park Antalya Stadium in Antalya. The match will kick off at 20:45. According to the announcement by the Turkish Football Federation’s Central Referee Committee, Halil Umut Meler has been appointed as the main referee. His assistant referees are İbrahim Çağlar Uyarcan and Bersan Duran. Adnan Deniz Kayatepe has been named as the fourth official.

The first half of the match was dominated by Trabzonspor. In the 17th minute, Trabzonspor forward Paul Onuachu scored a goal, giving the bordo-mavili team a 1-0 lead. The first half ended with Trabzonspor controlling play and maintaining their advantage on the scoreboard.

In the second half, the game became more balanced and TÜMOSAN Konyaspor increased their pressure. In the 50th minute, Jackson Muleka, wearing the Konyaspor jersey, equalized the score with a goal, making it 1-1. Konyaspor failed to take the lead in the 58th minute when they could not convert a penalty kick taken by Enis Bardhi. In the 79th minute, Paul Onuachu scored from a penalty awarded to Trabzonspor, netting his and his team’s second goal to make the score 2-1. No further goals were scored in the remaining minutes, and the match ended with this result. Immediately after the final whistle, Konyaspor Head Coach İlhan Palut was shown a red card by the referee.

The match was attended and observed from the stands by Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak and Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu, who were also part of the official protocol.

Following the conclusion of the match, a trophy ceremony was held and Trabzonspor took home their 10th Ziraat Turkey Cup. This victory ended a five-year trophy drought for Trabzonspor, whose last cup win came in the 2019-2020 season when they defeated Corendon Alanyaspor 2-0.

After the championship, Trabzonspor Club issued an official thank-you message. In the written statement, Trabzonspor expressed gratitude on behalf of its community to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who extended congratulations for the title, as well as to Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, ministers, members of parliament, local administrators, sports clubs and representatives of the sports community.

Trabzonspor Head Coach Fatih Tekke, in his post-match assessment, stated that Trabzonspor dominated the first half while Konyaspor performed better in the second half, and emphasized that the opposition was highly motivated to win. Tekke expressed happiness that they did not send away fans who had traveled long distances disappointed. He also thanked the club president and board for the opportunities provided. Fatih Tekke, who joined Trabzonspor’s youth academy at age 14, served as team captain, became top scorer of the 2004-2005 season with 31 goals, and won the Turkey Cup three times as a player, recorded his first trophy as head coach at the club—19 years after his playing career began—at this final, 14 months after his official appointment.

Trabzonspor player Ozan Tufan, in his post-match comments, said he was overwhelmed with surprise and joy as this was his first trophy in his long professional football career. Although his team had not been able to achieve a league title due to some setbacks during the season, Tufan emphasized the great importance of presenting this cup to the city.

Due to İlhan Palut’s red card at the end of the match, Konyaspor Assistant Coach Steven Caulker represented the team at the official post-match press conference. In his remarks, Caulker congratulated Trabzonspor on their victory and cup championship. He noted that the match was difficult for Konyaspor and acknowledged that his team had shown a strong performance on the pitch but unfortunately ended up on the losing side.
