Aziziye Camii is located in the Altınordu district of Ordu Province. The structure was originally built during the reign of Ottoman Sultan Abdülaziz using wooden materials and derives its name from him. In addition to being known as Aziziye Camii, it is also referred to as Yalı Camii. Over time, the mosque deteriorated significantly and faced the risk of collapse, prompting its reconstruction in 1310 AH (1892/1893 CE) by Kadızade Hasan Efendi using cut stone and rubble stone.

Architectural Plan and Construction Materials

The mosque was constructed using a load-bearing masonry system. Cut stone and rubble stone were used as primary building materials. The structure comprises the harim, the women’s gallery, and the prayer space located at the lower level. The lower level is also used for prayer. Access to this lower space is provided from the east and west facades. On the north facade at the same level, there are four single-leaf, flat-arched entrance openings. This area lies beneath the veranda leading to the harim and is currently used as a tea station.
