The institution’s mission is defined as achieving high academic and scientific standards in Islamic sciences by completing students’ education in the science of hadith. The institute organizes hadith competitions, scholarly gatherings, and conferences. Moreover, it serves as an important meeting point for religious authorities, scholars, and academics participating in discussions.

Education is also provided in the fields of fiqh, tafsir, kalam, Islamic history, and Arab language like. At the institute, foundational specialized training is offered in Islamic sciences and research, languages, origins of religions, and comparative law science. Advanced scientific competence is developed through research on contemporary intellectual issues, interfaith dialogue, and comparative law. Scientific research in Islamic sciences, comparative doctrine, and fiqh studies is promoted and expanded, with particular emphasis placed on the Maliki fiqh tradition importance. Continuous education courses are organized for professionals working in religious fields, and cooperation and partnership relations are established with national and international public and specialized scientific institution institutions within defined areas of mutual interest. The institute contributes to the revitalization of intellectual and cultural life by organizing seminars, work days, and scholarly meetings; when called upon, it provides advisory and expert services related to its specialized fields and undertakes publishing, research, and scholarly activities.

Darü’l-Hadis el-Haseniyye moved into its current building in 16 August 2010. This facility was constructed on a site covering 13,000 square meters. The building harmonizes with the traditional Islamic architecture of Rabat and reflects the architectural sensibilities of its era and culture. The institute includes a lecture hall for 320 students, two lecture halls each with a capacity of 84 students, four language classrooms, four science classrooms, a reading room, a librarian’s office, and administrative offices. It also features a mosque with a capacity of 900 and a cafeteria. The structure is adorned with classical Moroccan architecture and traditional Islamic art.

School also holds significance as an institution where prominent figures in Moroccan history and society have taught. Allal al-Fasi, a Moroccan state and idea who lived between 1910 and 1974, delivered various educational programs here. He actively participated in numerous political struggles against the colonial administration directed at his country and consequently endured a period of period exile. He continued his anti-colonial activities in exile, directing resistance and independence movements from abroad. After Morocco gained independence in 1956, he returned to his country and resumed his teaching position at Darü’l-Hadis el-Haseniyye.
Darü’l-Hadis el-Haseniyye is a center that provides education to both national and international students. In addition to students from various regions of Morocco, applicants also come from the Arab world and other Islamic countries. Some of these universities include the National University of Malaysia, Dar es-Salam Islamic University (Indonesia), Ibn Rüşd Foundation for Higher Islamic Research (Belgium), College of Islamic and Arab Studies (UAE), and the International Institute of Islamic Thought (France). The institute also has academic cooperation agreements with the Faculty of Theology at Marmara University, through which scholarly work and student exchanges have been initiated.
Today, Darü’l-Hadis el-Haseniyye holds considerable importance as Morocco’s primary center for religious education. The institution produces qualified hadith scholars and religious scientists not only for Morocco but also for the broader Islamic world. Through its education and research in the science of hadith, it contributes to the advancement of knowledge and religious scholarship across the Islamic world and provides sponsorship to various scholars from Islamic countries.
