Devrik Evre (Music Group)

Devrik Evre is a digital music group founded in 2025 that produces music with artificial intelligence support. The group was established by Ömer Faruk Tuğla, Yusuf İslam Tuğla, and Musa Kazım Tuğla. Situated at the intersection of art and technology, the group aims to express the contradictions and transformation processes of the era through music by combining human creativity with the capabilities of artificial intelligence.

Devrik Evre was established on January 4, 2025. The members designed this project not merely as a music group but as a narrative tool to question the contemporary understanding of art in the digital age and the impact of artificial intelligence on creative production.

The group’s music blends numerous genres including ska, reggae, dub, rock, pop, rap, electronic, and slow. The musical foundations of the tracks are generated using artificial intelligence-assisted software, while the lyrics are typically written by Ömer Faruk and Musa Kazım Tuğla. Yusuf İslam Tuğla plays a distinctive role in shaping the group’s creative identity.

Physical events such as concerts or tours are not part of this project’s nature. Devrik Evre has embraced a production model in which music exists solely in the digital realm, aiming to transform each track into its own standalone stage. The group reflects human-machine interaction both in content and form through a stance that examines the fluidity between artificiality and originality.

The term “Devrik” in the group’s name signifies an attitude that dismantles established norms and transcends the ordinary, while “Evre” represents the continuity of this transformative process.

Devrik Evre’s first album, İkilem, was released on April 7, 2025. The album consists of each song reimagined in two distinct musical styles. This structure serves both as a celebration of musical diversity and as a reference to the tension between human and AI-generated creation. The tracks were produced using artificial intelligence-assisted infrastructure, while the lyrics and overall themes were designed by the group members.

The group’s second album, Beyitlerin Peşinde, was released on June 19, 2025. It was specially composed for a short film competition based on Fuzûlî’s Su Kasidesi and consists of both instrumental and lyrical pieces. Of the 16 tracks on the album, 11 are instrumental and 5 are lyrical interpretations of the Su Kasidesi in modern styles. The works reinterpret the profound symbolic world of the classical text through contemporary musical genres.
