Development Process and General Features

Edpuzzle emerged from the need to convert educational video content into usable teaching materials. On this web-based platform, users can create interactive content from sources such as YouTube, TED Talks, and Khan Academy, or from videos they upload themselves. Created videos can be assigned by teachers to their classes, and student viewing and response behaviors can be tracked.

Applications in Education

Edpuzzle is used across all educational levels, from primary school to higher education. Teachers can either prepare videos in advance or use the platform’s Discover feature to find and convert existing videos for classroom use. The content is suitable for both face-to-face and in distance education learning environments to enhance student engagement. The platform also provides learners with the opportunity to watch videos and complete assessments at their own pace.

Edpuzzle offers editing options such as embedding questions and adding audio or annotations to selected videos.
