G.O.R.A. is a Turkish science fiction comedy film released in 2004 and directed by Ömer Faruk Sorak. The screenplay was written by Cem Yılmaz, with contributions to the script development by Can Yılmaz. The film was produced and distributed by BKM Film. It stars Cem Yılmaz, Özge Özberk, Ozan Güven, Özkan Uğur and Rasim Öztekin. It was released in Türkiye on 12 November 2004.

Plot

G.O.R.A. begins with a character named Arif, who deals in carpets in Anatolia, being abducted by aliens and taken to a planet called G.O.R.A. While trying to find a way to escape the planet alongside the people he meets there, Arif encounters a series of bizarre events. The narrative explores themes of escape, resistance, and the formation of new relationships within a science fiction setting.

Production Process

G.O.R.A. was filmed in Istanbul and Antalya between 2003 and 2004. The film features a screenplay that blends science fiction elements with comedic aspects.
