New Karaman Stadium

Karaman Stadium is a modern stadium located in the city of Karaman with a capacity of 15,000 spectators football. Construction of the stadium began in 2017 and after a construction process lasting until 2023, it was inaugurated on 27 August 2023 with a match between Karaman FK and Menemen FK.

The construction of the stadium was initiated as part of the sports infrastructure development project led by the then Karaman Municipality President Ertuğrul Çalışkan, and was carried out with investment from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Karaman Municipality common.

Capacity and Features

Karaman Stadium has a capacity of 15,000 people and features a single-tier, fully covered grandstand design.

Some of the stadium’s important features include:

• A VIP grandstand for 241 people
• 25 skyboxes (private boxes)
• A press tribune and media area for 155 people
• Two separate guest hospitality areas
• Folding seats in white and red colors

Stadium has been constructed in accordance with UEFA standards, and the natural grass pitch is supported by an under-soil heating system.

Structural Features

Karaman Stadium has been designed as a modern football stadium with a rectangular layout. The pitch dimensions are 105 by 68 meters, in compliance with UEFA and TFF standards.

The stadium’s roof and façade cladding attracted attention, but its construction was prolonged due to economic crisis and the pandemic, delaying the originally planned 2019 completion date until 2023.

The stadium was designed by Alper Aksoy Architecture, with construction carried out by the contracting firms Meda Yapı and Gintek İnşaat.

Facilities and Amenities

Karaman Stadium has been planned as a multi-purpose sports complex. It includes:

• A parking lot with capacity for 444 vehicles
• Individual training fields and fitness areas
• Four changing rooms
• Referee rooms, observer rooms, and doping control rooms
• Baby care rooms, medical center, kiosk, mosque, and security rooms

Winter months, to ensure spectator comfort, 161 natural gas radiant heaters have been installed and a 220-lamp lighting system has been established for night matches.

Visits and Events

Karaman Stadium has been designed not only for football matches but also to host other sports disciplines, concerts, and events.

Since its opening, it has hosted TFF Second League and Turkish Cup matches house.

Plans are underway to construct training fields and additional sports facilities around the stadium, with the goal of further developing Karaman’s sports infrastructure in coming years.
