History and Organization

The idea of organizing the Turkic Ski Cup emerged during the Turkic Ski Resort Presidents' Meeting held in Istanbul in September 2024. At this meeting, the Union of Turkic Ski Resorts was established with the aim of promoting ski tourism, increasing expertise sharing, and organizing joint events. The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding, and the initiative was officially endorsed by heads of state during the 11th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Bishkek in November 2024.

The Turkic Ski Cup is organized by the Union of Turkic Ski Resorts, whose founding members are Amirsoy (Uzbekistan), Shahdag (Azerbaijan), Shymbulak (Kazakhstan), and Uludağ (Türkiye) ski resorts. The tournament is designed to promote winter sports in the Turkic world and strengthen cooperation between ski resorts.
