Adıyaman
Adıyaman is a historic city located in Türkiye’s Southeastern Anatolia Region. Its history extends thousands of years into the past. Excavations in the region have uncovered traces from the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods. Its most notable historical feature is the Nemrut Dağı Tumulus and the colossal statues erected during the Kingdom of Commagene. These structures are listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Adıyaman’s economy is largely based on agriculture. Crops such as tobacco, lentils, barley, and wheat are widely cultivated. Livestock farming is also common. In recent years, tourism has been growing; interest in Nemrut Dağı has attracted both domestic and international visitors to the region.
