2026–27 Trendyol Süper Lig Draw Schedule

The 2026–2027 season Trendyol Süper Lig fixture draw is an official organization scheduled to take place on 9 July 2026 by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) to determine the matchweeks and home-away status for all teams during the season.

An artificial intelligence-assisted algorithm is used in the fixture draw process. This algorithm generates a unique “fixture key” for each season but does not directly determine the match schedule. First, all necessary constraints and safety requirements for the season are entered into the system as mathematical codes. Key criteria considered by the algorithm include safety conditions, the status of teams sharing the same stadium, international match dates, European competition schedules, the number of teams in Istanbul, and broadcaster requirements.

Unlike many European leagues, the Süper Lig fixture is based on a draw system, so the algorithm only prepares the underlying skeleton (key). To ensure the constraints produce valid outcomes, teams are placed into pots, and each club is granted the right to determine its own fixture by drawing a number. The final fixture is only confirmed after all clubs have completed their number draws. Before the draw, it is known which teams in the same pot will face each other during specific matchweeks, but which team will be home or away is determined only after the draw.

For the 2026–2027 season, special pots have been defined based on the clubs’ participation in European tournaments and their geographical locations. The pots and the number ranges to be drawn are as follows:

• Champions League Teams Pot: Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray (Numbers to be drawn: 1 and 2).
• Europa League Teams Pot: Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor (Numbers to be drawn: 3 and 4).
• Europa Conference League Team Pot: İstanbul Başakşehir FK (Numbers to be drawn: 5 and 6).
• Istanbul Teams Pot: Eyüpspor and Kasımpaşa (Numbers to be drawn: 7 and 8).

The following are the essential constraints defined in the system and mandatory to be observed throughout the season:

1. Symmetry: The fixture key is structured symmetrically; the second half of the season will be the exact reverse of the first half.
2. Tracking Cycle: Match pairings are arranged so that no team will consistently follow another team throughout the season.
3. Home-Away Balance: No team will play two or more consecutive home or away matches in the first two or last three matchweeks. Additionally, no team will play more than two consecutive home or away matches within a single half of the season.
4. Distribution of Major Matches: In each half of the season, each team will play Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, with no more than three of these matches being home or away.
5. Consecutiveness: No team will face Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray or Trabzonspor in consecutive matchweeks.
6. Density: No team will face three of the four clubs—Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor—within any seven-week period.
7. Derby Matchups: In derbies between Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, each team will play one leg at home and the other away. Trabzonspor will play no more than two of its matches against each of these three teams at home or away in a single half. Additionally, no more than two of Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray will play at home in the same matchweek.
8. Istanbul Teams: Istanbul-based teams may play at most six consecutive matches within Istanbul’s boundaries. These sequences will be kept as balanced as possible between the first and second halves of the season. No more than four Istanbul teams may play at home in the same matchweek, and the number of such weeks will be minimized.

Forbidden matchweeks refer to specific weeks during which certain matches—particularly derbies and matches between teams participating in European competitions—cannot be scheduled.

• International Match Breaks: In accordance with safety and scheduling restrictions, following consultations with the National Team Department, only Matchweek 11 has been designated as a forbidden week for derbies.
• General Derby Restrictions: Derbies cannot be scheduled in Matchweeks 1, 2, 11, 17, 18, 22, 28 and 31. Derbies may only be played during weeks outside this list.
• European Competition Rest Balance: Matches between teams participating in the Champions League (Tuesday/Wednesday fixtures) and those in the Europa League and Europa Conference League (Thursday fixtures) are prohibited in certain weeks. It is impossible to ensure fair rest balance because a Thursday European match team can play its next Süper Lig match no earlier than Sunday, while a Tuesday European match team can play its previous league match no later than Saturday. Therefore, the pots containing these teams are scheduled not to face each other in Matchweeks 1, 2, 8, 18, 22, 25 and 28.

Based on the drawn numbers, the fixture weeks and matchup formats for derbies between Champions League teams (Fenerbahçe–Galatasaray) and Europa League teams (Beşiktaş–Trabzonspor) have been algorithmically predetermined. These derbies will be played in Matchweeks 4, 6, 8, 9, 13 and 15. In the matchup structure, teams drawing numbers 1 and 2 will face each other, and teams drawing numbers 3 and 4 will face each other, in specific weeks such as Matchweeks 8 and 9.

The algorithm developed by TFF shares similarities with fixture constraints applied in Europe’s leading leagues.

• Italy (Serie A): Serie A prohibits derbies in Matchweeks 1, 9 and 38; prevents teams from the Champions League and Europa League/Conference League from facing each other in consecutive fixtures (Matchweeks 7, 21, 25, 28, 31 and 34); and mandates that if one team from the same city plays at home, the other must play away—rules that parallel Süper Lig constraints.
• England (Premier League): The Premier League requires nearby clubs (Arsenal–Tottenham, Manchester City–Manchester United etc.) not to play at home on the same weekend to ensure adequate security staffing, and schedules fixtures in a rotational manner; additionally, no team may begin or end the season with two consecutive home or away matches—principles aligned with Süper Lig planning criteria.
• Germany (Bundesliga): The Bundesliga prohibits neighboring clubs from playing at home simultaneously and ensures at least two days of rest between European matches and league fixtures—principles that serve the same purpose as TFF’s forbidden matchweeks.

2026-2027 Season Trendyol Süper Lig Fixture Draw was held on 9 July 2026 at the Hasan Doğan National Teams Training and Education Facility in Riva, Türkiye Football Federation (TFF). Representatives from TFF officials and clubs competing in the league participated in the event.

The schedule for the 34-week league marathon, involving a total of 18 teams, was officially confirmed through this ceremony. According to the determined schedule, the new season will begin with matches on 14 August 2026. The first half of the season will conclude with the 16th matchweek games scheduled between 18 and 21 December 2026, followed by a winter break. The second half will commence with the 17th matchweek matches on 15–18 January 2027 and will end on 23 May 2027.

Speaking at the draw ceremony, TFF Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz welcomed the newly promoted teams Çorum FK, Amed Sportif Faaliyetler and Erzurumspor, officially opening the 69th season of the league. The federation has identified strengthening club financial structures, establishing a sustainable economic model, developing new sponsorship opportunities, and increasing broadcast revenues as its primary objectives.

As a result of the draw, it was decided that the 2026-2027 season will open on 14 August 2026 with a match between Gaziantep FK and Corendon Alanyaspor. The fixture for Matchweek 1 is as follows:
