68th Grammy Awards (2026)

The 68th Grammy Awards is a music awards ceremony organized by the Recording Academy to recognize recordings, artists, and compositions released between September 16, 2024 and August 30, 2025. The event was held on February 1, 2026 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, United States. Comedian Trevor Noah hosted the ceremony for the fifth time. This edition stood out for structural changes in the music industry and the introduction of new categories.

Ceremony and Organization

The 68th Grammy Awards ceremony was broadcast live on CBS and simultaneously streamed on Paramount+. Nominations were announced on November 7, 2025, and winners were revealed during the ceremony on the night of February 1, 2026. This marked the fifth consecutive year that Crypto.com Arena hosted the event.

New Categories and Rule Changes

The Recording Academy implemented several structural changes this year:

• Best Album Cover: Introduced as an independent category to highlight the role of visual design in music production. The first recipient was Tyler, The Creator’s album Chromakopia.
• Country Music Revisions: The category “Best Country Album” was divided into two subcategories: “Traditional Country” and “Modern Country”.
• Classical Music and Physical Formats: Criteria for physical formats were expanded, and revisions were made to better evaluate composers and lyricists in the classical music field.
