Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University (ATU) was established as Adana Science and Technology University with the Law No. 6218 adopted by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye on March 31, 2011. The name of the university was changed with the Law No. 7167 published in the Official Gazette on February 28, 2019 and became Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University. This change has made the mission of the university more clear.
Academic Structure
Adana Alparslan Türkeş University of Science and Technology consists of 1 institute, 7 faculties and 1 college. Faculties include the Faculty of Computer and Informatics, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Faculty of Human and Social Sciences and Faculty of Political Sciences. The university conducts education and research activities at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
Language of Education and International Relations
The university mostly prefers English as the language of instruction. It was selected as one of the 5 pilot universities in Turkey for the British Council's “Improving the Quality of English Language Teaching in Higher Education Program”. This shows that the university is adapting to global education standards and strengthening its position in the international education arena.

All academic units and colleges of Adana Alparslan Türkeş University of Science and Technology are located on the main campus in Sarıçam district of Adana. The campus is equipped with various facilities such as modern educational infrastructure, library, sports facilities and student clubs. As of the 2024-2025 academic year, ATU has approximately 6,063 enrolled students. The academic staff of the university consists of faculty members who have completed some or all of their graduate studies at reputable universities abroad. The university has made significant developments such as changing its name in 2019 and moving to its own campus in 2017. Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University aims to educate its students in accordance with the requirements of the 21st century by continuing its education and research activities in various fields such as engineering, informatics, social sciences and design.
