Personal Information and Football Process
Ahmet Suat Özyazıcı was born on April 20, 1936 in Trabzon. He started playing football in 1954 at Trabzon Yolspor. He was transferred to İdmanocağı in 1956 and played football there for many years. He also played for Ankara Havagücü during his military service . He was in the first squad of Trabzonspor, which was founded in 1967 , and ended his active football career in 1969.
Technical Director Career
After his football career , Özyazıcı stepped into the technical management field and served as an assistant coach in the Trabzonspor A Team in 1970. In 1971, he took over the Trabzonspor Youth Team and the team became the Black Sea Region Champion. He was appointed as the technical director of Trabzonspor in the second half of the 1972-73 season. Although he missed the championship with a goal difference of 1 in his first season, he made Trabzonspor the champion in his second season and promoted it to the First League.
During his time as a manager, Özyazıcı won the Turkish 1st Football League (now known as the Super League) championship with Trabzonspor in the 1975-76, 1976-77, 1979-80 and 1983-84 seasons. With this result, he became the first manager to lead a team from outside of Istanbul to the championship. He also won 3 Turkish Cups , 5 Presidential Cups and 2 Prime Ministry Cups with Trabzonspor. In addition to Trabzonspor, he also worked as a manager for teams such as Bursaspor, Sarıyer and Vanspor . He won the Balkan Cup with Sarıyer and achieved first place in an international tournament at the club level.

Ahmet Suat Özyazıcı adopted a disciplined and team-based football approach. He achieved success with players trained in Trabzonspor's infrastructure, placing importance on local talent. Death and Commemoration
Ahmet Suat Özyazıcı passed away at his home in Trabzon on February 18 , 2023. In a statement, Trabzonspor Club expressed its condolences by emphasizing the successes Özyazıcı brought to the club. His funeral was held on February 19, 2023, following a ceremony held at the Hüseyin Avni Aker National Garden.
