Autumn Winds (Film)

Autumn Winds is a 1969 Turkish cinema classic; a drama film exploring themes of love, pride, obstacles, and rebirth. Directed by Mehmet Dinler, the production brings together leading actors of the era including Türkan Şoray and Ediz Hun.

Kemal, an officer from Bahriye, and Nalan, a secretary working in a factory, meet by chance and immediately feel a mutual connection. As Nalan eagerly awaits their reunion, she suffers a tragic accident on the day they are to meet, leaving her disabled. Despite her love for him, Nalan believes Kemal feels pity for her and chooses to leave him. Driven by wounded pride and dignity, she decides to continue her life alone. Years later, they unexpectedly meet again.

The film centers on a woman who, while preparing to marry the naval officer she loves, becomes disabled in an accident and reshapes her love and life by turning her hardship into a matter of personal pride.
