Beginning and End

We were like the beginning of an end, both of us.
You found me at the starting point of your life;
I saw you at the final pain of my heart.

Then we passed beyond each other, both of us.
You chose to seek new beginnings;
I chose to bring those beginnings to an end.

Every beginning has an end, does it not?
They cannot coexist, they never can.
Not until we part… together.

It is precisely at that moment that new beginnings may arise;
New lives, new suns are born.
Seasons come and go,
But the same end does not accompany every beginning.

Every end is in fact a surrender,
When hope is exhausted and helplessness reaches its peak.

If surrender is necessary, then rather than live with this pain,
I want to be the end of your beginning;
A finality that will never come again and will never change…
