İstanbullu Gelin is a Turkish dramatic television series directed by Zeynep Günay Tan and Deniz Koloş, with a screenplay written by Ali Aydın.

Plot

İstanbullu Gelin tells the story of Süreyya, a beautiful and proud woman who grew up orphaned and took on the struggle of life at a young age, fiercely devoted to her freedom. The narrative begins in Istanbul, where Süreyya’s life takes a dramatic turn upon meeting Faruk Boran, a charismatic and wealthy businessman. Falling in love with Faruk, Süreyya marries him and moves into the ancestral Boran family mansion in Bursa. Yet this new life becomes a profound test for Süreyya, caught between love and the desire for autonomy.

Upon settling into the mansion, Süreyya confronts not only her new family but also deeply entrenched traditions, social status struggles, and long-buried secrets. She begins to clash with her stern and authoritarian mother-in-law Esma Hanım, her rival sister-in-law İpek, and her troubled brothers-in-law Fikret, Osman, and Murat. Meanwhile, Faruk must struggle against an unexpected enemy while trying to protect both his family and his love. Throughout the series, the foundations of the centuries-old Boran Mansion are shaken by these conflicts, affecting every member of the family.
