Academic Units
BTU has a total of five faculties, one college, and various research and application centers.
The faculties are the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Forestry, the Faculty of Maritime Studies, the Faculty of Architecture and Design, and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. In addition, preparatory class education is provided at the School of Foreign Languages. In addition to undergraduate departments, a large number of master's (MA) and doctoral (PhD) programs are offered within the Graduate School.
Research Infrastructure
The University is equipped with laboratories and research centers to support research activities. These include the Central Research Laboratory (MERLAB), the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, research laboratories belonging to various faculties, and application and research centers specialized in different disciplines (such as Earthquake Engineering, Electric Vehicles, Automotive, Robotics, Next Generation Composite Materials).
Laboratories
Bursa Technical University (BTSU) has various laboratory infrastructures to support education and research activities. The laboratories of the university are categorized under two main headings: Education Laboratories and Research Laboratories.

Education Laboratories
Computer Laboratories
Computer laboratories serving all students within BTU are located at different points of the campus and equipped with internet access. The laboratories are designed to accommodate groups of up to 40 students and allow for interactive training. Engineering software such as Solidworks, TRNSYS, Catia, NX, Ansys, Matlab, Floefd, FCHART, MSC ADAMS, Car Maker, AutoCAD, and Abaqus are installed on each computer. The devices are suitable for long-term studies with their high hardware features. Students can also benefit from these laboratories outside of class hours.
General Engineering Education Laboratories
It is structured to provide basic engineering skills at the undergraduate level. The laboratories are equipped with basic electronics and instrumentation training sets, sensor sets, universal test equipment, surface inspection microscopes, heat and flow measurement devices, and torsion and bending test setups. The following training sets are also available:
- Solar Energy Trainer
- Wind Turbine Training Device
- Biofuel Technology Training Kit
- Mass Balance Experiment Set
- Bending Vibrations of Shafts Experimental Set
- Process Control and SCADA Training Kit
- Mechatronics Training Kit
- Hydraulic Trainer
Physics Laboratories
Physics Laboratories provide experimental reinforcement of theoretical knowledge in basic physics courses. Students learn physical laws in a practical way by conducting experiments on mechanical, electrical, magnetic, and optical subjects.
Chemistry Laboratories
Chemistry Laboratories are structured in parallel with the chemistry courses given in the first year. In groups of 10 students, experiments such as anion-cation analysis, precipitation, neutralization, and redox reactions are carried out. These laboratories aim to familiarize students with chemical substances and reactions.
