Background and Beginning of the Clashes
For a long time, clashes have been occurring between various armed groups along the Syria-Lebanon border, particularly in the eastern regions of Lebanon. The latest events began on March 16, 2025, when allegations surfaced that three Syrian soldiers had been ambushed by Hezbollah militants, taken to Lebanon, and executed. Hezbollah denied any involvement in the incident.

- Cooperation between both sides to prevent the activities of armed groups in the border regions.
