Deliha 2 (Film)

Deliha 2 is a Turkish comedy film written and directed by Gupse Özay, released on 12 January 2018. Produced by BKM Film, it is a sequel to the 2014 film Deliha. The film focuses on the personal development and professional aspirations of the main character Zeliha, blending these themes with comedic elements.

Plot

The film begins after the events of the first movie, as Zeliha attempts to start a new chapter in her life. Seeking to pursue a career in cooking, she leaves her family home and begins working at a restaurant. Having given up on finding love, the character encounters a series of humorous and emotional situations in both her professional and personal life. The narrative centers on Zeliha’s efforts to stand on her own feet while exploring themes of traditional family structures, women’s roles in the workforce, and individuality.

Production

Filming began in October 2017 and was completed within approximately two months. Part of the shoot took place in the Köyceğiz district of Muğla. This was Gupse Özay’s debut as a director. The film was produced by BKM Film and released nationwide in Türkiye through CGV Mars Distribution.

Thematic Structure
