DENEYAP Team Period Final Project Exhibition (2025)

DENEYAP Technology Workshops are an educational program implemented through a collaboration between the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye, TÜBİTAK, and the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), aiming to enhance the technological competencies of young people across Türkiye. Launched in 2017, the program seeks to equip participants with scientific and technological skills through a comprehensive 36-month curriculum. In this context, the DENEYAP Teams Phase Final Project Exhibition, held simultaneously in 69 provinces on 17–18 May 2025, served as an event where approximately 2,000 teams and 8,000 students showcased their projects to the public.

Aim and Structure of DENEYAP Technology Workshops

DENEYAP Technology Workshops have been expanded to all 81 provinces of Türkiye with the goal of supplying qualified human resources to technology-focused initiatives such as TEKNOFEST and promoting entrepreneurship in strategically important technological fields. The program features a total 36-month structure comprising a 24-month project-based education phase followed by a 12-month Teams Phase. Participants receive free education in areas such as robotics programming, artificial intelligence, electronic programming, space and aerospace technologies, and nanotechnology. Within the Teams Phase, students from different schools typically form five-member teams to develop projects aligned with predefined themes. This process aims to enhance participants’ skills in teamwork, problem solving, and technical proficiency.

Scope and Organization of the Final Project Exhibition

The DENEYAP Final Project Exhibition held on 17–18 May 2025 was conducted simultaneously across 69 provinces of Türkiye. Approximately 2,000 teams and 8,000 students from the third, fourth, and additional phases of the program participated. Participants presented their projects developed during the educational process to the public; these projects covered various thematic areas including artificial intelligence, robotic systems, coding, and energy technologies. The evaluation of projects was carried out by a jury panel composed of academics from TÜBİTAK, engineers from the Ministry of Industry and Technology, DENEYAP instructors, and volunteers from the T3 Foundation. In addition to technological prototypes developed by the teams, posters and presentation materials prepared by the participants were also assessed by the jury; the most successful projects in each province were awarded prizes.

Exhibition Events in Istanbul and Ankara

The DENEYAP Final Project Exhibition in Istanbul was held on 17–18 May 2025 across seven venues: the Süleyman Demirel Congress Center of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), Fatih Science Center, GSB International Youth Center, Güngören Science Center, Zeytinburnu Science Center, Istanbul Medeniyet University, and İTO Marmara Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.

İTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and T3 Foundation Board Chair Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır visited the event held at İTÜ and examined the students’ projects on-site. The exhibition in Ankara was held on 17 May 2025 under the auspices of the Council of National Education. Both events were open to the public and provided participating students with the opportunity to share their technology-focused work with the broader community.

Contributions and Vision of the Exhibition

The DENEYAP Teams Phase Final Project Exhibition is regarded as a significant initiative that enables young generations to display the knowledge and skills they have acquired in science, technology, and innovation, share their motivation for production processes, and learn from one another.

T3 Foundation Board Chair Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır stated that the exhibition contributes to building a qualified human resource infrastructure for initiatives similar to TEKNOFEST and supports the vision of young people to transform science and technology into social benefit. Hıdır further emphasized that the program addresses Türkiye’s need for human resources in critical technological fields. Additionally, the program aims to encourage young people to integrate their scientific endeavors with values such as justice, compassion, and kindness.
