Dursun Ali Erzincanlı was born on 5 May 1969 in Erzurum. He completed his primary education at Abdurrahman Şerif Beygu Primary School and then received Quranic instruction for three years at Gürcükapı Camii and the Erzurum Muftiate. After completing his secondary education at Erzurum Imam Hatip High School, he was admitted to the Archival Science Department of the Faculty of Letters at Istanbul University in 1992, whereupon he moved to Istanbul with his family.
During his university studies, he worked with director Mesut Uçakan as part of the artistic team in the films Kelebekler Sonsuza Uçar and Ölümsüz Karanfiller. In 1993, he began his career in radio broadcasting at Moral FM, a role he held for ten years. He later presented programs on Radyo 15 for five years.
In 2000, he wrote his first Naat-ı Şerif, Faran Dağları'nda Açan Sevgili, which formed the foundation of the album series En Sevgiliye. This series eventually expanded into an eight-part collection. In 2009, he released the album Adın Geçer.
Dursun Ali Erzincanlı played leading roles in the films Veysel Karani and Rabia, both directed by Nazif Tunç. He also portrayed the imam of the Söğüt mosque and the teacher of Küçük Osman in the television series Diriliş Ertuğrul.
Dursun Ali Erzincanlı is married and has three children: two sons and one daughter. He lives in Istanbul with his family.
