Efrat

Efrat has entered Turkish from the Arabic word afrād (أفراد), derived from the root frd (فرد). In Arabic, this word is the afʿāl form of the plural of fard (فرد), meaning “single, individual,” and carries the meaning of “individuals, persons.”

• Sociology: Used to refer to the individuals of a society and the structures formed by these individuals.
• Military Language: Used to denote enlisted personnel and military staff serving in the armed forces.
• Sufism: Used to describe distinguished saints who are spiritually regarded as exceptional.
• History and Texts: In ancient texts, it is preferred to refer generally to “people, individuals.”
