Elias Jelert Kristensen was born on 12 June 2003 in Virum, Denmark. Standing at 1.78 metres tall, Jelert plays as a right-back.

He began his football career in 2008 with the youth academy of Virum-Sorgenfri Boldklub and transferred to the Copenhagen youth academy in 2014.
