Fenerbahçe's Extraordinary General Meeting of the Board of Directors (September 21, 2025)

Steven Sadettin Saran was elected the 38th president of Fenerbahçe Sports Club on 21 September 2025, receiving 12,325 votes at the extraordinary general assembly.

The extraordinary general assembly of Fenerbahçe Club was held on the land adjacent to the Chobani Stadium, formerly the site of the Kenan Evren High School. A total of 49,268 members had the right to vote, and 24,732 members cast their ballots. Of the 24,393 valid votes counted, Sadettin Saran received 12,325 votes while his opponent Ali Koç received 12,068 votes.

Voting began at 10:00 and concluded at 17:00. The vote counting was conducted under the chairmanship of General Assembly President Şekip Mosturoğlu, and the results were announced in the evening. The election process took place with strong member participation. After casting his vote, Saran stated in his remarks that he represented change and would bring love to Fenerbahçe.

The new board of directors under the presidency of Sadettin Saran includes the following members: Adem Köz, Orhan Demirel, Taner Sönmezer, Ahmet Murat Emanetoğlu, İlker Alkun, Burçin Gözlüklü, Ali Gürbüz, Ertan Torunoğulları, Murat Salar, Ufuk Şansal, Olcay Doğan, Cem Ciritçi, Erdem Sezer, Ozan Vural, Ertuğrul Eren Ergen, İlyas Yılmaz, Orhan Orakçıoğlu, Gökhan Taşkaya, İlker Arslan, Zeynep Yalım Uzun and Serhan Yılmaz.

Following the announcement of the election results, Sadettin Saran and Ali Koç jointly took the stage. Saran delivered a message of unity and solidarity, emphasizing that celebrations would not begin until the club won the championship. In his speech, Ali Koç expressed respect for the outcome and stressed the importance of unity around the club, stating, “We are all on the same boat.”

Sadettin Saran is the 38th individual to assume the presidency in the club’s history. With this election, Ali Koç’s term, which began in 2018, has ended, and a new era has begun in the leadership of Fenerbahçe.
