Fire Control Radar (FCR)

AKR is a high-precision fire control radar developed by ASELSAN, designed for integration with land and sea platforms. The system directs and locks onto targets for connected artillery systems, enabling accurate tracking of both stationary and moving targets.

The radar was designed for use in naval platforms as a Close-In Weapon System (CIWS). On land platforms, it has been developed for integration onto tracked vehicles. AKR is capable of operating under high vibration and shock conditions and remains functional while in motion.

AKR is a critical subsystem for the KORKUT SSA (Korkut Motorized Air Defense Gun System) in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces. In this role, it enhances operational effectiveness by providing both target detection and fire direction for artillery systems in low-altitude air defense.
