

Hatice Gizem Örge was born on 26 April 1993 in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye. She is originally registered in the population records of Ordu Province. As a Turkish citizen, Örge is one of the national volleyball players who represent Türkiye at both national and international levels. She has spent her entire sporting career within the borders of Türkiye and has contributed to the development of Turkish volleyball.
Gizem Örge began her volleyball career at Ankara Eczacı Voleybol Kulübü. Starting to play volleyball at a young age with this club, Örge quickly attracted attention with her talent and progressed to the professional level. She spent her early years in the club, refining her game and strengthening her fundamental volleyball skills. Subsequently, she drew interest from major clubs and transferred to VakıfBank, one of Türkiye’s leading volleyball clubs. Her performances there established her as one of the prominent figures in Turkish volleyball.
Gizem Örge has served for many years with the Turkish Women’s National Volleyball Team, earning a significant place within the squad. Beginning her international career at a young age, Örge gradually became one of the key players in Türkiye’s international successes. She particularly stood out with her strong performances at the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) and the European Championship. During her time with the national team, she was frequently awarded individual honors such as “Best Libero” and helped strengthen Türkiye’s international achievements in volleyball. Örge’s defensive skills, serve-receive efficiency, and leadership on the court have formed the foundation of the national team’s defensive organization.
Gizem Örge plays as a libero in her professional volleyball career. The libero is one of the most critical defensive positions in volleyball, responsible for receiving attacks, digging passes, and managing the team’s defensive organization.
