Gratis, founded in 2009 in Istanbul, is a personal care and cosmetics retail chain. The company opened its first store on July 17, 2009, at Istanbul Metrocity Shopping Mall and, as of 2024, operates more than 700 stores across 81 provinces in Türkiye. Gratis provides a wide range of products in the personal care and cosmetics sector.

Product and Service Categories

Gratis offers products in various categories, including makeup, skincare, hair care, hygiene, baby care, cleaning products, and home & living. The stores feature over 15,000 products across 15 different categories, including both national and international brands, as well as exclusive private-label products available only at Gratis.

Launched in 2017, the Gratis Beauty service provides personal care treatments such as skincare, hair care, hand and foot care in select stores. As of 2024, there are more than 55 Gratis Beauty stores operating in 12 cities in Türkiye.

Training and Employment

To train qualified personnel in the sector, Gratis established Beauty Academy in 2022. The academy offers training programs in manicure, pedicure, gel nail application, nail art, eyebrow shaping, and hair styling. Those who complete the training can find employment in Gratis Beauty stores.

Within its employment policy, Gratis prioritizes female workforce participation. The company boasts a 100% female employment rate in its stores, while 94% of managerial positions are held by women.

Digital Services

Gratis entered the e-commerce market in 2019 with the launch of its online shopping platform, gratis.com, offering 24/7 online shopping opportunities. Additionally, customers can access services through mobile applications and WhatsApp-supported assistance. In 2020, Gratis introduced the "click and collect" service, allowing customers to pick up their online orders from physical stores.

Store Network and Expansion

Since its establishment, Gratis has continuously expanded its store network, creating a widespread presence across Türkiye. As of 2024, the company operates more than 700 stores nationwide.
