

Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu, born in Ankara in 1947, is a psychiatrist, author and television producer. She describes herself as the daughter of a “kind” father and a “sacrificing, authoritarian” mother. She has two brothers, Yüksel and Mustafa.
She completed her primary and secondary education at TED Ankara College and entered Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1966. During her medical studies, she worked as a staff announcer and presenter at TRT Ankara Radio and Television. After graduating from medical school, she practiced as a general practitioner in Ankara and specialized in psychiatry. Budayıcıoğlu has written several books that combine her psychiatric experiences with literary expression. These include “Madalyonun İçi”, “Günahın Üç Rengi”, “Hayata Dön” and “King Kaybederse”.
In recent years, Budayıcıoğlu’s works have been adapted into television series and have attracted widespread attention. The series “İstanbullu Gelin”, “Doğduğun House Kaderindir”, “Kırmızı Room” and “Camdaki Kız” are inspired by her books. Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu continues to live in Ankara and remains active in her professional work. She continues to illuminate the depths of the human psyche by integrating her psychiatric experiences and observations into her literary works.
