Gypsy with Fever (Film)

Fiery Gypsy is a 1969 Turkish film directed by Metin Erksan and starring Türkan Şoray and Ediz Hun in the lead roles. It tells the story of a love affair between two young people raised in a nomadic Romani caravan.

Plot

The film follows Gelincik and Ali, who were both adopted by a Romani caravan at a young age and grow up together, gradually developing deep feelings for each other. However, their relationship becomes strained due to Gelincik’s indecisive behavior and false accusations. Ali is imprisoned after being falsely accused by Gelincik. During this time, Gelincik’s mother is killed. After his release from prison, Ali begins playing the violin in a nightclub in Istanbul. Gelincik, meanwhile, sets out on a journey to find the man she loves. The film is a melodrama that explores themes of love, longing, loyalty, and betrayal.
