Harmankaya Canyon Nature Park

Harmankaya Canyon is a natural area located between the districts of Yenipazar and İnhisar in Bilecik province, Türkiye, and was declared a Nature Park in 2012.

The canyon features a steep and deep structure approximately 2.5 kilometers long, with walls reaching up to 700 meters in height in places. Through its deep fissures and the high walls formed by them, it offers a rare beauty and possesses significant natural and recreational value.

Flora and Fauna

The area is commonly populated by black pine, red pine, juniper and oak trees. The canyon provides habitat for a variety of wild animals including wild boar, bear, wolf, fox, jackal, rabbit and several small mammals. Additionally, raptors and songbirds as well as river fish species form an important part of the canyon’s fauna.

Recreational Activities

Harmankaya Canyon Nature Park is a popular attraction for nature sports enthusiasts due to its waterfalls exceeding 20 meters in height, deep pools and narrow passages. Facilities such as walking trails, viewing platforms and picnic areas are provided for visitors. Major activities available in the park include birdwatching, canyoning and rock climbing.

Sportspersons wishing to traverse the canyon typically begin their journey from the entrance point in the district of Yenipazar. Those wishing to camp prefer Harmanköy, the exit point of the canyon.
