Heart to Heart Courage

The thing I fear most is you.
You are the only trial I have in this life.
You are the one who makes my hands tremble and my heart grow cold,
And the sole reason for this courage within me.

You are there with every step I take.
With every breath I draw,
At every thought I hold,
You are the one who gives me this courage in this life.

Whenever my tears fall, you are beside me.
Whenever my heart aches, you are right there.
Whenever I look away,
Whenever I hide my smile,
You have always been the one who gives me courage in this life.

You once asked me if I had courage,
And I asked you what it was.
Now I understand what it means.
It means loving someone more than your own life,
Standing against the entire world for them,
Sacrificing everything for their sake.

Then I will be with you.
If we must take a step, we will take it together.
If we must die, we will die together.
